This highly accurate hand-held pocket meter (made by Hanna Instruments in the UK) is used to check your reverse osmosis system membrane. To use, insert the bottom of the meter into a glass of your RO generated water and the 3 digit readout will display the total dissolved solids in the sample. Then test your water source and compare to the RO water. Replace the membrane when your removal percentage drops below 85 percent.
