Baltimore, MD Water Report Quality Analysis

Baltimore MD water quality report is online at:

Generally, Baltimore water looks good and the numbers are below the EPA maximum contaminant levels, however, lead in your area (from old pipes) has been as high as 5.4 ppb (maximum contaminant levelof 15).   KDF will reduce lead along with small amounts of other metals like nickel, chromium 6, mercury, copper and barium.  You do have HAA5s and TTHMs, present in all municipal systems, but our KDF/GAC cartridge will reduce them.  Fluoride is at 1.03 ppm and we have a cartridge that will reduce 90 percent of that.  Nitrate levels have been 0.95  ppb with an MCL of 10. They use chlorine for the disinfectant and our KDF/GAC cartridge will remove it. See our NSF-53 Water Test at:

http://www.thewaterexchange.net/nsf-53_test.html

You do have some low levels of radioactivity, in the form of Alpha and Beta Particles, below the MCL.  If you have a whole house water softener, that can reduce most radioactivity.  To reduce Alpha Particles, the method would be reverse osmosis..  We don't sell water softeners, but we do sell a softener cartridge that can be added to an under-counter or countertop filter system.

With the above information, I would recommend our Model UC, a single under-counter KDF/GAC filter for chlorine, heavy metals, VOCs, TTHMs, HAA5s, pesticides, organic materials. (Countertop Model CT).  If you want to remove fluoride, our double housing Model UCD--F will work.  It removes all that the UCD-F removes and fluoride. See http://www.thewaterexchange.net/under_counter_filters.html

We also have countertop versions of our filters that connect to most kitchen faucets.
