Water Filters

Fullerton, CA Water Report Quality Analysis

The Fullerton, CA water report is online at:
cityoffullerton.com/civica/filebank/blobdload.asp?BlobID=7335

The water looks okay. However, they list some contaminants present, though they are below the action level. Lead was measured at 5 ppb. or less (maximum contaminant level is 15). Arsenic is listed at 2.3 ppb (MCD is 10) found in the 2010 Metropolitan Water District. TTHMs and HAA5s are listed, common in water using chlorine.  Fluoride averages 0.8 ppm and is lower than normal. Chlorine is used as the disinfectant and is as high as 2.9 ppm. Uranium is listed as high as 9.5 pCi/l with an MCL of 20.  Our KDF/GAC cartridge will reduce lead, arsenic, chlorine, iron, TTHMs and HAA5s.  We use a sodium/softener cartridge to reduce uranium using a potassium resin.  It will also reduce sodium and hardness in your water. If you have a whole house water softener that will work for the uranium then you don't need our sodium/softener cartridge.

I would suggest our double under-counter filter Model UCD-NAK for chlorine, lead, TTHM and HAA5s, uranium, other heavy metals, pesticides and organics (countertop Model CTD-NAK). If you'd like to reduce fluoride, we have a cartridge that removes up to 90 percent in a triple cartridge system.
