Water Quality Analysis Georgetown, TX

The water quality report is online at: files.georgetown.org/files/2009/03/WQR-2010-Final1.pdf

The water looks good. However, they list some contaminants present, though they are below the action level our filter will reduce them. Lead was measured at 5.3 ppb (maximum contaminant level is 15 ppb), which is below the action. TTHMs and HAA5s are listed, common in water using chlorine.  Fluoride is listed averaging about 0.57 ppm which is low. Both chlorine (averaging 1.98 ppm) and chloramines (averaging 2.57 ppm) are used as the disinfectant which is high. Our KDF/GAC cartridge will reduce chlorine, lead, arsenic, TTHMs and HAA5s. To reduce chloramines we use a special catalytic carbon cartridge, filter CH.

I would suggest our double under-counter filter Model UCD-CH for chlorine, chloramines, lead, arsenic, TTHM and HAA5s, other heavy metals, pesticides and organics (countertop Model CTD-CH).  If you'd like to reduce fluoride, up to 90 percent, we offer a triple filter with our filter FL.
