New Braunfels, TX Water Report Quality Analysis
The current water report is at:
nbutexas.com/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=hznHSNAav7A%3d&tabid=790
Generally, your water looks good. However, lead is at 2.4 ppb (maximum contaminant level is 15 ppb) and chromium is at 1.6 ppb and low amounts of barium. Our KDF/GAC cartridge will remove them. You do have VOCs, HAA5s and TTHMs present in all municipal systems, but our KDF/GAC cartridge reduces them. See our NSF-53 Water Test at:
http://www.thewaterexchange.net/nsf-53_test.html
Nitrates are listed as high as 1.17 ppm (MCL is 15). This can be removed with our nitrate specific cartridge. Fluoride is at 0.77 ppm and lower than most cities, but you can remove it with our fluoride cartridge.
Chloramines is added as a disinfectant averaging pretty high up 3.8 ppm (MCL is 4). KDF will remove some of the chloramines, but a special cartridge, catalytic carbon will remove more.
With the above information, I would recommend a single under-counter filter Model UCD-CH for $189.95 with a KDF/GAC cartridge for lead, chromium, HAA5s, etc. and our catalytic carbon cartridge for the chloramines. If you want to remove fluoride it would be our triple under-counter filter, UCT-CH-F for $299.95 with free shipping.
See http://www.thewaterexchange.net/under_counter_filters.html.
We also have countertop versions of our filters.
