Water Quality Analysis

Water Quality Analysis Overland Park, KS

The water report for Overland Park, KS is online at:
waterone.org/Adobe%20Files/2011-AnnualReportFinal.pdf

The water looks good. However, they list several contaminants, though they are below the action level, they are present.  Arsenic is listed as high as 2.1 ppb (maximum contaminant level of 10), chromium is 3.6 ppb to (MCL 100) and lead was measured at 5.3  ppb (MCL 15). Chloramines is used as the disinfectant, and is high at up to 4.5 ppm (average is about 3 ppm). Our KDF/GAC cartridge will reduce arsenic, lead, chlorine, chromium and reduce TTHMs and HAA5 (common in water using chlorination). You will need a chloramines cartridge.   Fluoride is lower than other cities, averaging 0.59 ppm.

I would suggest our double under-counter filter Model UCD-CH  for chlorine, chloramines arsenic, chromium, lead, TTHM and HAA5s, heavy metals, pesticides and organics.   If you'd like to reduce fluoride, we have a cartridge that removes up to 90 percent.  That would be Model UCT-CH-F for under-counter use, or Model CTT-CH-F for countertop installation.
