Water Filters

Portland, OR Water Report Quality Analysis

The Portland, OR water report is online at:
portlandonline.com/water/index.cfm?c=29551&a=244813

The water looks good. However, they list some contaminants present, though they are below the action level. Lead was measured at 12 ppb which is high (maximum contaminant level is 15 ppb), but below the action level. TTHMs and HAA5s are listed, common in water using chlorine. Arsenic is listed at 1.4 ppb (MCL is 10) and our KDF/GAC cartridge will reduce that.  Chromium is present at 0.3 ppb. Fluoride is averages 0.13 ppm which is low. Chlorine is used as the disinfectant and averages 2.2 ppm which is fairly high. Our KDF/GAC cartridge will reduce chlorine, lead, pesticides, arsenic, chromium, TTHMs and HAA5s and organic materials.

I would suggest our single under-counter filter Model UC for chlorine, lead, arsenic, chromium, TTHM and HAA5s, other heavy metals, pesticides and organics (countertop Model CT).
