West Palm Beach, FL Water Report Quality Analysis
The water report for West Palm Beach, FL is at:

Generally, the water looks okay, though Lead is at 7 ppb (mcl is 15 ppb) but KDF will remove it along with small amounts of other metals like nickel, copper and barium. You do have HAA5s and TTHMs, present in all municipal systems, but our KDF/GAC cartridge reduces them. Fluoride is at 0.855 ppm and we can remove 90 percent with our fluoride cartridge. They add chloramines as the disinfectant at 3.6 ppm average, and we do have a chloramines specific catridge. See our NSF-53 at:

You do have some radioactivity, but below the maximum contaminant level. Radium at 1.87 pCi/l (MCL is 5) and Alpha Particles with Uranium at 2.3 pCi/l (MCL is 15). If you have a whole house water softener, it will reduce the radium and uranium. Alpha particles require reverse osmosis. We don't sell softeners, but we do sell a softener cartridge that can be part of a filter system.
With the above information, I would recommend a single KDF/GAC filter system for chlorine and heavy metals (lead) at $109.95. If you want to reduce the radioactivity our Model NAK-UC with KDF/GAC and Sodium/Softener cartridge ($189.95) will work. Or, if you want to remove the fluoride, use our UCD-F system.
See http://www.thewaterexchange.net/under_counter_filters.html.
We also have countertop versions of our filters.
